Memphis #2

  Memphis #2 is part of a series of paintings about Memphis, Tennessee.  In the spring of 2012 I visited Memphis for the first time and was struck by the history and culture of the city.  The cable car depicted in the painting are a line of older, wooden cable cars that run through the city.  The strong diagonals on the right give a "bow and arrow" effect of tension and something is about to happen.
